My work explores the fragile and painful space where mistakes and change take root. These are spaces - of memory, of dwelling, of being - that were once occupied, whole, and complete, but only for a moment. Now they are flawed, damaged, and often inaccessible. I am particularly drawn to the intersection of misshapen forms and broken lines within this space of damage. In their convergence, what was absent assumes presence. My art is an effort to make visible these mostly unseen, unacknowledged spaces by tracing their boundaries and giving them shape. I believe there is beauty in the fleeting perception of these forlorn places.
